Gemalto Passport & ID Scanner – AT9000

The Thales (formerly Gemalto) AT9000 MK2 is a professional document reader designed for organisations that need to verify identity documents rather than simply capture document images.

It can read passports, ePassports, national IDs, visas and driving licences using visible, infrared and ultraviolet imaging. These imaging modes help reveal security features that may not be visible in a standard document scan.

The optional RFID reader can read the chip in ePassports using BAC, SAC, EAC and PACE protocols.

The AT9000 can also decode 1D and 2D barcodes, including PDF417, QR, DataMatrix and Aztec. Its dust-sealed optics are rated IP50, and the unit is USB-powered.
